Charity Shop’s New Showroom Offers Dream Dresses for Less
Blushing brides and prom queens can get their dream dress for less with the launch of a new occasion wear showroom at a Tamworth charity shop.
The Acorns Children’s Hospice shop in George Street has launched a new bridal and prom wear boutique and is stocking new and good-quality, pre-loved dresses.
The first-floor showroom at the George Street shop, which sells gorgeous gowns for special events and cut-price accessories, is available to view by appointment only.
Lindsay Marston, Deputy Manager at Acorns Tamworth shop, said: “We’re extremely excited to launch our new occasion wear range. Weddings and school proms can be really expensive and buying the perfect outfit can play a large part in that, so our new range is ideal for brides-to-be and budding prom queens on a budget.
“By shopping at Acorns you’ll also be helping us care for children and families across Tamworth and the West Midlands. So, come and take a look at our fabulous new showroom and see if we have your dream dress for less.”

Prices for bridal gowns start at £40, with bridesmaid and prom dresses starting at £20. The showroom also stocks children’s occasion wear, which starts at £12.
Acorns Children’s Hospice provides care, support, fun and laughter to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.
In the past year, the charity has cared for more than 870 children and supported more than 1,140 families, including those who are bereaved.
