St Teresa’s Hospice is a registered charity (No: 518394), providing palliative and end-of-life care and support in South Durham & North Yorkshire. We care for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families, and their carers. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to those who need it.
We respect people and their right to die peacefully and with dignity in surroundings of their own choice. We believe this can be done through specialist pain and symptom control, open communication, independence, and by offering a supportive network to individuals and their families up to and after bereavement.
Things at the moment are different due to Covid-19, however, we are continuing as many services as we safely can. These include:
- Hospice at Home
- Rapid Response Team
- Inpatient Unit
- Family Support
- Bereavement Care
- Complementary Therapies
- Lymphoedema clinic.
St Teresa’s Hospice has a dedicated retail team that manages a growing chain of stores and digital options. Our High Street stores sell a range of kindly donated goods and up-cycled furniture. We also have dedicated eBay and Depop stores online, which gives us access to a global marketplace. With a 5-star 100% positive rating you are assured of quality service.
Our Retail Team is vitally important to helping the Hospice raise the 3m it costs each year for us to be able to continue caring for those with a life-limiting illness.
