About Saint Michaels Hospice
About This Shop
Saint Michael’s Hospice, Harrogate, is a local charity that exists to improve the lives of people affected by terminal illness and bereavement.
Saint Michael’s offers inpatient care, planned respite care, day therapy, lymphoedema support, specialised support at home, palliative care education, and bereavement support. These services are available to everyone living across the Harrogate district, from those people living in remote rural areas to the residents of the bigger conurbations of Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, and Pateley Bridge.
Saint Michael’s services are available at no cost to patients or their families. This is possible due to the generosity of the local communities who fundraise tirelessly to make sure the charity can continue to offer people the care they want and need. A significant amount of our income must be generated by individuals, groups, and organisations in the local community, as well as Saint Michael’s own fundraising initiatives and its eight shops.
We have twelve shops selling an array of nearly new furniture, clothes, books, gifts, and homeware. Donations of good quality items are always gratefully accepted.
