About Prospect Hospice
About This Shop
Prospect Hospice provides end-of-life care to the community of Swindon, Marlborough, and northeast Wiltshire, in the purpose-built hospice and in the homes of patients.
Care is provided by nurses, doctors, and therapists, freely on the basis of need and is supported by the generosity of the local community, whose financial support, through fundraising, the hospice’s shops, a lottery, legacies, grants, and donations, meet three-quarters of the costs to run the Hospice each year.
The specialist teams provide clinical, emotional, and practical support to patients and their loved ones. Care is tailored to the needs of each person. Prospect Hospice began in 1980 and serves a community of more than 300,000 people. The hospice is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
