About National Animal Welfare Trust
About This Shop
The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) is a rescue and re-homing charity operating across the south of England.
We are home to a surprisingly wide variety of animals, caring for around 500 on any given day across our five centres, primarily cats and dogs, but also farm animals and small domestic pets too. We provide food, warmth, and veterinary treatment to those animals in need of care, prior to finding them their forever home – however long it takes. Every animal remains in our hearts long after a new home is found and we continue to provide advice and guidance to support pets and owners in their new lives together. NAWT never stops caring and is totally reliant on the generosity of the public for donations and legacy gifts to support its valuable work, with costs running at in excess of £12,000 per day.
Over 500 volunteers donate their skills and time to the charity, for which we cannot thank them enough, with almost a quarter of these helping out in the charity shops ensuring that as much money as possible goes towards the animals in our care. Details of volunteer opportunities can be found on our website or why not call into one of the centres or charity shops.
