About Guild Care
About This Shop
Guild Care is a registered charity, established in 1933, providing innovative solutions to the care needs of local older people and unpaid carers living in Worthing and its surrounding areas.
We are proud of our work that supports some of our community’s most vulnerable people and currently operates three care homes with nursing for private and state-funded residents, a sheltered housing scheme, home care service, and a wide range of community services.
Our services for the public benefit include care homes with nursing; sheltered accommodation; home care; community services focusing on the health and well-being of older people and carers; community outreach services and respite care for carers of people with dementia. The Ashdown Centre offers respite care for children, young people and young adults with special needs and pilot projects will shortly commence for more active older people of 50+ and for older people with learning disabilities.
Guild Care’s charity shops offer a fantastic range of donated and new goods. We sell furniture, electrical goods, clothing, toys, books, bric-a-brac, games, shoes, accessories, and other items all at bargain prices. We also offer a free collection service for larger items in the local area. Our eleven shops, including two Superstores, are run by teams of dedicated staff and volunteers. Bargain hunters will love the great range of bric-a-brac and the opportunity to snap up clothes for all ages at brilliant prices.
Our shops take in donated goods, are a point of contact for supporters and volunteers, act as an information point for other Guild Care services and offer supporters the opportunity to contribute monetary donations as well as goods.
