About CLAN Cancer Support
About This Shop
CLAN Cancer Support is a well-established local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney, and Shetland. Whether affected personally, as a carer, family member, or close friend, its services are freely offered to all from pre-diagnosis and diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
CLAN offers a relaxed, welcoming, and caring environment both at CLAN House, its support and well-being centre in Aberdeen, and at its many bases in the community – Ballater, Banchory, Elgin, Fraserburgh, Inverurie, Kirkwall, Lerwick, Peterhead, Stonehaven, and Turriff.
Services available include information and support, counseling, complementary therapies, social and wellbeing activities, as well as dedicated children and families support services. For those traveling to Aberdeen hospitals for appointments or treatment, CLAN also offers affordable B&B accommodation at CLAN Haven alongside assistance with transport to and from the hospital. CLAN aims to help people live with and beyond cancer and improve the quality of life for all those who it helps and supports.
CLAN relies on the generosity of so many individuals, families, and companies to ensure the ongoing provision of its free services. The sale of donated goods in its charity shops has become a vital source of revenue. The charity operates five shops, two in Aberdeen and one each in Ballater, Kirkwall, and Lerwick. All sell a wide range of clothing, accessories, household items, and books.
