About This Shop
Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer but we are leading the fight against it. We have already made heart research history. And with the help of our researchers’ tireless work, we will uncover the mysteries that could help us regenerate hearts, form new arteries and muscle, and ultimately stop heart disease in its tracks.
We were founded in 1961 by a group of medical professionals wanting to fund extra research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and circulatory disease. After half a century of extraordinary scientific and societal progress, we have helped to transform the landscape of heart disease. Explore 50 years of the fight against heart disease.
From events to shops, professors to fundraising groups – there are loads of things happening with the BHF across the UK. You could support a local appeal, volunteer at your local BHF shop or take part in a local event – there’s so much you can do in your area to help raise vital funds for our pioneering research. Whichever way you decide to support us you’ll be glad you did, as your support helps us save lives locally. To find out what’s happening in your area you can read our local area pages or search our map.
