About Bassetlaw Hospice
About This Shop
The Bassetlaw Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support for the local community. A working partnership between the charity and Bassetlaw Health Partnership, it exists to enable patients with progressive life-limiting illnesses and their carers, to achieve the best quality of life
Situated in the centre of Bassetlaw, the Hospice provides Day Care facilities for up to 50 patients every week. The comfortably decorated sitting rooms and conservatory provide a gentle atmosphere in which to talk, relax, read, or listen to music.
The Hospice has six comfortable bedrooms, each equipped with, multi-positioned beds, air conditioning, TV, telephone, en-suite facilities, and patio doors into the garden, which are available for 24-hour nursing care.
As part of our fundraising activities, the charity operates two shops in Worksop and Retford. We aim to sell good quality clothes, bric-a-brac books and CDs. Our shops are a charity in the true sense of the word selling only stock donated by the local community and supported by a great team of enthusiastic volunteers. Unlike national charities we do not have stock delivered from all parts of the country, we have no transport or central warehouse costs, we rely on the generosity of our supporters for donations large or small.
