About Ayrshire Hospice
About This Shop
The Ayrshire Hospice provides Specialist Palliative Care across Ayrshire for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and support for their families and carers.
The Hospice clinical team comprises doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chaplains,s and social workers who assess each patient’s individual needs to determine the appropriate level of support. This may range from a short-term advisory role to ongoing support. Within the Hospice, there is a twenty-bed in-patient unit and day hospice while a team of specialist palliative care nurses works in the community.
The medical team also provides a palliative care service at Ayr and Crosshouse Hospitals. All Hospice services are free of charge and as a registered charity we rely on the support and generosity of our supporters without whom the Hospice could not exist.
Our hospice shops are an important source of income. We currently run Shops throughout Ayrshire selling only donated goods from bric a brac to books; toys to trousers; hats to handbags; and lots more besides! If you are having a Spring-clean, a wardrobe clear-out, or changing your colour scheme, why not donate any unwanted items to us? All we ask is that items are clean and in good condition – please donate, don’t dump.
Pop into any of our shops during opening hours or, if you are unable to do so, please call 01292 619417 and we may be able to uplift larger items.
