Julie Byard, Director of Trading for Cancer Research UK, said: “Our superstores have proved very popular with our customers elsewhere in the country. We think the Basildon store will be a welcome addition to the Pipps Hill Retail Park. We’re thrilled to be adding our own discount offering to the mix. “As well as providing a great shopping experience, we hope the shop will inform, engage and inspire our supporters.”
Monique Giral Johns, manager of the new superstore, said: “We’re delighted to be opening this fabulous new shop in Basildon. We hope people will pop in and discover the range of bargains we offer. There’s lots of free parking right outside, so it is easy to drop off any unwanted items to donate to us.
The store has a number of volunteer roles on offer from serving customers to merchandising the displays. No matter how much time someone can give or what their experience, we would love them to get in touch. It all helps toward our goal of beating cancer.”
The shop will be open seven days a week, from 9 am-6 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am-4 pm on Sunday.
