Halstead charity shop launches wedding department
The EACH charity shop in Halstead has opened a wedding department featuring an array of dresses, shoes, hats and more, with prices ranging between £20 and £200. Bradley Till, EACH Shop Manager, said: “The idea of wearing a used dress on your big day may not appeal at first thought, but with the costs of weddings ever increasing this might be a handy way of lessening your expense.
“By choosing to buy a dress from us you’d certainly not be downgrading in quality; in fact, you might be quite surprised at the quality of stock we’ve had donated – why not come along and see for yourself what we’ve got to offer? “We’d also be pleased to see you if you’ve got any old wedding clothes to donate and help make another person’s marriage that extra bit memorable.”
Retail is expected to raise £2.5 million a year for EACH, money that is vital to work the good cause does caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.
EACH currently supports 81 children, young people and family members in Essex and almost 800 across the region.
The charity’s shop in Halstead is open between 9.30am and 4.30am, Monday to Saturday.
