About St Rocco's Hospice
About This Shop
St Rocco’s Hospice provides specialist care and support across the borough of Warrington, a community of over 200,000 people, helping adults who are coping with a life-limiting illness.
They provide quality care and promote social, psychological, and spiritual well-being for patients with life-limiting illnesses, as well as catering to their physical needs. They also offer support and care to patients’ loved ones; they sometimes need more emotional support than the patients themselves. In doing so, they place patients, carers, and families at the heart of everything that they do.
St Rocco’s Hospice operates shops across the wider Warrington area, including a specialty shop for Furniture & Interiors plus an award-winning eBay Store. They provide their community with a meaningful way to donate their pre-loved goods, diverting them from landfills and reducing their carbon footprint. By buying and donating second-hand items with St Rocco’s, people are not only shopping more sustainably but also raising vital funds to care for people at the end of life.
A team of over 220 volunteers dedicate their time to support St Rocco’s Hospice shops; last year these incredible volunteers donated a total exceeding 52,000 hours to St Rocco’s Hospice shops. St Rocco’s Hospice retail generates over £1m and without this, the hospice would not be able to continue delivering patient care. Every item donated or bought and every hour generously given by each volunteer really does make a difference.
