About St Clare Hospice
About This Shop
St Clare Hospice has been established since 1990, providing care to thousands of people during that time. We are a registered charity providing specialist palliative care to the communities of West Essex and the border of East Hertfordshire.
Our services are for people aged 18 or over and include In-Patient Care, Day Therapy, Out-Patients, Bereavement Support and caring for family and friends. We care for patients who have a palliative illness which may include cancer or any other life-limiting illness. Diseases that cannot be cured such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, MS and Dementia. We care for patients and families in an individual way, actively involving people in a way that supports all their needs at a difficult time in their lives.
St Clare Hospice shops exist solely to raise money for, and awareness of, St Clare Hospice. We sell a range of good quality donated goods and selected new gift lines. Our Bishop’s Stortford bookshop mainly sells donated books, music, and DVDs, plus some new gift lines. Our shops are also a valuable source of income which goes towards the costs of our services
