About St Ann's Hospice
About This Shop
St Ann’s Hospice serves a population of 1.2 million people around Greater Manchester. We understand that someone who is dying or has a life-limiting illness has their own unique physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, the provision of which can contribute greatly to their overall well being.
Our specialist staff are here for all the family and our services are provided free of charge. We care for patients with illnesses such as cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, neurological conditions, heart failure, and renal failure.
We provide more than end of life care around a third of our patients return home after receiving help from us. Our care is provided in a range of settings: as an inpatient in the hospice or whilst living at home. Patients can also access day therapy services as an outpatient.
Around two-thirds of our funding coming from donations and St Ann’s has to raise the extra finance to keep our doors open. We receive this money through voluntary contributions, legacies, our hospice lottery, fundraising, and our charity shops.
For every £1 spent 92p was spent directly on patient care and the services that support its provision.
