About Sara Lee Trust
About This Shop
The Sara Lee Trust aims to improve the lives and well-being of people living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in the Hastings and Rother area, through the provision, free of charge, of creative and complementary therapies, psychological and counseling support and therapeutic group activities.
A registered charity, the Trust was set up in memory of Sara Lee who died aged 32 after a two year battle with cancer.
Sara benefitted from excellent care at the Bristol Cancer Help Centre, one of the first organisations offering holistic therapies for cancer patients, and it was her vision to provide therapies, free of charge, to people in Hastings and Rother, enabling relaxation, comfort, and quality of life, in spite of living with a life-threatening diagnosis. After her death Sara’s family and friends set up the Sara Lee Trust to allow others to experience what Sara had achieved, to live to the full, in spite of cancer within.
The Trust is independently-funded, relying heavily on fundraising and the support of local people and organisations to donate funds and saleable items to help run our services and stock our charity shops. If you are having a clear-out of your home, office, or wardrobe then please consider us for donations. We are more than happy to arrange for a collection if this helps.
We specialise in house clearances. Please call us on 01424 532098 for more information.
