About Blythswood Care
About This Shop
Since 1966, Blythswood Care has combined the Christian message with practical help for those in need.
Whether through filled shoeboxes at Christmas, relief and development aid or social projects for young and old, Blythswood brings hope to thousands in Europe, Africa, and Asia. We are committed to long-term care projects in Romania, enabling disadvantaged children and young people to fulfill their potential.
A founding member of Global Hand, Blythswood cooperates with like-minded charities around the world, supporting the work of local care professionals who best know the needs of their communities. For every £1 donated, we deliver more than £5 worth of aid. For every employee, Blythswood has more than 10 volunteers. With the support of people like you, Blythswood provides Christian care for the body and soul.
The work of Blythswood Care is only possible through donations from individuals, groups, and companies. The donations consist of clothes, shoes, handbags, books, furniture, toys, bicycles, and bric-a-brac.
Some companies donate to us their surplus, end of the range or discontinued stock. Donations can be dropped off or collected by our fleet of vans and trucks and transported to our depots throughout the UK where the donations are then sorted and split into one of the following three categories: –
To be sold in one of our charity shops throughout Scotland, Wales, England, Northern Ireland, and Romania or to be sent abroad as part of our distribution of aid, to be recycled
The income generated from these donations goes towards providing humanitarian aid, emergency relief, and sustainable projects to support those in need regardless of ethnicity or religious beliefs.
